This class is intended for those that have a basic understanding of knitting (can knit, purl, cast on, bind off, etc.), and wish to work at their own pace on a project of their choice with the guidance and support of an instructor. This is a great way to start knitting that daunting first sweater, colourwork, or cables - learn as you go!
Level: Beyond Beginner - must have some knitting experience.
Supplies (not included): Pattern, yarn, needles, and other supplies noted in pattern.
Techniques: Learn various steps and techniques as you go.
This is a choose-your-own-project class, but we want to set you up for success by making sure your choice of project matches your skill level and supplies. You can absolutely tackle a project with new-to-you elements that you will need the instructor to show you, but we want to keep the learning fun not frustrating! **If this is your first class with this instructor, please confirm your pattern and supplies with them prior to the start of the first class.** You can do this by either arriving 30 minutes early for the first class (not applicable to 10am classes), or by emailing your chosen pattern name to firstname.lastname@example.org and it will be forwarded to the instructor. Need help choosing a pattern or yarn/needles? Drop by the store anytime during open hours and chat with any of the staff about your skill level and any ideas you already have and we'll show you some great options!
