Nicky Epstein’s inspiration for the Noro mystery knit-along afghan "An Alchemy of Stitches" came from traditional geometric quilts. For the first quilt block, Epstein used solid Noro Silk Garden Solo for the centre and self-striping Noro Silk Garden at the four corners.

About this Knit-Along - the first design in a series of six quilt blocks is already live! Every two months, a new block will be released featuring new stitches.

This MKAL pattern features Noro Silk Garden and Noro Silk Garden Solo, with three gorgeous colour stories to choose from. See also Option One and Option Two.
