Named after the Japanese term for ‘the first day of winter’, this enchanting blend combines the warmth of wool and the durability of mohair, with the soft strength of silk. Rittou marks the end of autumn where all the colours from the leaves begin to turn brown, as they fall from the tree branch. Each colourway has a natural brown wool blended in to give all colourways an autumn tone. The colourways are reminiscent of the dwindling golden sunsets of late autumn, the snow-covered landscapes winter is known for, and the holiday lights adorning the icy streets below. Rittou comes in a generous-sized egg- 150 grams per 361 yards. Welcoming the winter months, one skein at a time.
Noro has designed four new winter patterns (pictured above) in Rittou. The Kaori Cardigan has been published in Noro's 8 Hushed Designs. In Noro Magazine Issue 25 there are two vest patterns - the crocheted Dionne Vest, and the knit Zaria Vest, as well as the Philippa Pullover, try Noro Malvinas or Noro Silk Garden Solo for the main colour!
