Tasogare is a heavy worsted / aran weight yarn featuring a Noro signature blend of Corriedale/Merino wool, silk, and mohair.
The meaning of Tasogare reveals the inspiration - it is Japanese for "twilight", that time when colours grow dim as light fades. This yarn features undyed dark brown wool which interplays with the dyed fibres in typical Noro multicolours, giving each colour a more muted & deep feeling such as one feels at the end of the day when the brightness of the sun fades. Each "dragon egg" ball contains over 400 yards of yarn, enough for a small shawl or accessory from a single ball.
The launch patterns for Noro Tasogare are pictured above and are available in Noro Magazine Issue 23 as well as here on Ravelry.
