Please note the Urban Yarns now only ships to mailing addresses within Canada. In-store pickup is also available, at our store in Vancouver, BC.
For in-store pickup orders placed online, you will still need to fill in your Shipping Address at checkout, then the next step will be Shipping Method and you can select "Pick up in-store at Urban Yarns". Please wait to come in until we phone you letting you know that your order is ready for pickup.

For orders under $200 CAD, shipping is a flat rate** of $19.95 + GST.
November 2025 Update: Urban Yarns shipping orders are currently being sent by UPS Standard*. Allow 3-7 business days for delivery to major urban centres, and more to non-major or remote locations. Tracking number is provided by email once shipped. Delivery may be delayed due to high UPS volume during Canada Post contract negotiations, during peak holiday shipping periods, and during extreme weather events.
*Please note that UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes. If your home address is a PO Box, please fill in your correct Billing Address, then choose a Shipping Address that has a street number address such as your workplace or the home of a friend or family member. If this is not possible, please let us know in your order notes if you would like us to ship by Canada Post.
**UPS charges an Extended Area surcharge to some areas of Canada, which is not included in Urban Yarns free or flat rate shipping. When we are packing your order, if the UPS estimate to ship to your address includes an Extended Area surcharge, we will contact you to offer the choice to pay the Extended Area surcharge in addition to your free or flat rate shipping, to ship by Canada Post at no extra charge, or to cancel your order for full refund.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel and refund online orders if they do not meet our credit card fraud prevention software's criteria.
In-store exchanges or store credits for regular-priced yarn (unused, unwound, and in original ball band ie. in resalable condition) are available within 90 days of purchase, with presentation of the receipt. Sale yarn and other sale products, special orders, needles/hooks, notions, books, patterns, ready-to-wear garments, and giftware are all final sale. If you request a gift receipt when purchasing, any unused item in original packaging may be returned by the recipient with presentation of gift receipt, for refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase.
